Are you a technically strong and commercially minded finance professional looking to step into a senior leadership role? An established and growing organisation in the alternative financial services sector is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to join its high-performing finance team.
As Senior Finance Manager, you will take ownership of core financial operations - delivering accurate, timely reporting while maintaining a robust control environment. You'll lead and develop a team, manage statutory and regulatory reporting, and play a vital role in driving continuous improvement across the finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily financial operations and transaction processing
- Implement and maintain strong financial controls and risk management frameworks
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including group consolidation and journals
- Prepare statutory accounts and coordinate the year-end audit
- Apply and implement evolving technical accounting standards
- Develop and mentor finance team members to foster growth and performance
- Act as deputy to the Head of Finance when needed
- Contribute to strategic finance projects and transformational initiatives
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified with 5+ years' post-qualification experience
- Strong technical accounting and financial reporting background
- Experience producing statutory accounts and managing audit processes
- Proven team leadership and development experience
- Advanced Excel skills
- Excellent time management, communication, and interpersonal skills
Desirable:
- Experience in alternative financial services or accounting under IFRS 9
- Exposure to plc reporting environments
- Involvement in finance system implementations
