SOX and Control AVP in London

SOX & Controls - AVPLocation: LondonWorking pattern: Hybrid Salary rage: 65,000-90,000We are partnered with a financial services company who are looking for a SOX & Controls AVP to join their London office.The rolePerform walkthroughs and assess the design and operating effectiveness of key controls.Deliver SOX testing across financial and operational processes in line with agreed methodology.Review control documentation, supporting evidence and Risk & Control Matrices.Identify control deficiencies and work with control owners to understand root causes and support remediation.Track remediation actions and assess whether issues have been addressed effectively.Work across areas including Finance, Operations, Risk and the wider business to understand end-to-end processes and associated controls.Support improvements to testing approaches, control documentation and the wider SOX framework.Work with senior members of the team, Internal Audit and external auditors throughout the annual SOX cycle.Contribute to wider controls and transformation initiatives as the function continues to develop.What we're looking forExperience within Financial Services, either in-house or through audit/advisory work with Financial Services clients.Practical experience across SOX, internal controls, controls assurance or external audit.Experience conducting walkthroughs and testing design and operating effectiveness.Understanding of financial statements, balance sheets and core Finance processes.Experience identifying control deficiencies and supporting remediation.Exposure to SOX testing methodology, control documentation and RCMs.Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).Big Four or practice backgrounds are welcomed where there is strong banking or Financial Services exposure.Inventum Group is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.Discipline(s): FinanceJob type: Permanent
