An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Senior Associate to join a leading international arbitration practice in London. The team is recognised globally for its work on complex, high-value international disputes and acts for major corporates, industry leaders, and sovereign entities across a broad range of jurisdictions.

This role will focus primarily on international arbitration matters arising from major infrastructure and construction projects, including disputes relating to technical issues, delay, quantum, engineering, energy, and large-scale development projects.

The successful candidate will work closely with highly regarded partners and colleagues across multiple international offices on some of the most sophisticated disputes in the market. The role will involve:

  • Playing a key role in the development of case strategy and case theory
  • Drafting and managing written submissions in complex international arbitrations
  • Managing research and document review exercises
  • Assisting with witness and expert evidence preparation
  • Liaising directly with clients, experts, tribunals, courts, and opposing counsel
  • Supporting business development initiatives including publications, client briefings, and conference activity

Competitive candidates are likely to possess:

  • 6+ years’ experience in high-value international commercial and/or investment arbitration
  • Strong exposure to construction, infrastructure, engineering, energy, mining, or major projects disputes
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • Strong drafting, analytical, and advocacy skills
  • Experience managing junior lawyers and coordinating complex workstreams
  • The ability to operate confidently in a fast-paced international environment
