A local authority is seeking an experienced Internal Communications Officer to join its Communications team on a temporary basis, with genuine potential for the role to become permanent. This role will support a major period of organisational change and requires someone who can combine behaviour-change communications with hands-on video production to engage and motivate internal audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering internal change communications using recognised change and behavioural frameworks (e.g. COM-B, OASIS or similar)
- Planning, filming and editing high-quality internal video content to support change programmes and leadership messaging
- Turning complex organisational change into clear, engaging internal communications
- Managing content across intranet, newsletters, email and internal channels
- Working closely with HR, OD and senior stakeholders
About You:
- Proven experience in internal communications, ideally within a local authority or public-sector environment
- Strong experience in change communications and change methodology
