Job Title: Private Client Legal Executive

Location: London (Hybrid working)

Salary: £50k – £60k

Overview

We are seeking a Private Client Legal Executive to join a well-established team, supporting a varied caseload of wills, probate, estate administration, trusts, and powers of attorney. The role suits someone with solid technical knowledge and the ability to manage matters with a high level of care, accuracy, and client service.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a mixed caseload of private client matters including wills, probate, estate administration, LPAs, trusts, and inheritance tax planning.
• Prepare wills, trust documents, lasting powers of attorney, and associated correspondence.
• Handle the full probate and estate administration process, including submitting applications, liaising with beneficiaries, and preparing estate accounts.
• Conduct client meetings, take instructions, and provide clear, practical guidance.
• Carry out legal research and keep up to date with changes in private client law and regulation.
• Maintain accurate file management, ensure compliance with SRA and internal standards, and manage deadlines effectively.
• Liaise with colleagues, financial advisors, tax specialists, and external parties to progress matters efficiently.
• Support team projects, business development, and client relationship activities as required.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Experience working as a Private Client Legal Executive / Fee Earner, managing your own caseload.
• Strong understanding of wills, probate, estate administration, LPAs, and trusts.
• Excellent drafting skills with strong attention to detail.
• Confident client-facing skills with the ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
• Experience working to compliance and regulatory standards.
