URGENT CONTRACT ROLE - INCOME FINANCE OFFICER | WEST LONDON | £20PH
I'm currently working with a well-regarded London local authority who are looking to appoint an Income Finance Officer on an initial contract basis. This role would suit someone with experience in:
- Rent arrears recovery
- Income collection / credit control
- Housing income management
- Tenancy sustainment
- Local authority or housing association environments
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing rent and accommodation charge arrears
- Supporting residents with payment arrangements and benefit claims
- Reducing arrears whilst maintaining a customer-focused approach
- Legal escalation, notices and court-related processes
- Liaising with legal teams, support agencies and housing colleagues
- Monitoring customer accounts and maintaining accurate records
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Experience within social housing, local authority or housing associations
- Strong customer communication skills
- Experience handling sensitive or vulnerable cases
- Ability to balance collections with tenancy support
- Knowledge of arrears recovery and income management processes
