Long term emporary Video Producer (Contractor) Location: Manchester (Hybrid – minimum 2 days/week in office) Team: Global Communications – Content & Storytelling Bring scientific stories to life through powerful video. We\’re looking for a creative and experienced Video Producer to join a global, science-based organisation\’s Content and Storytelling team on a contract basis. Based in Manchester, this role is ideal for someone who thrives on turning complex ideas into engaging short-form video content for digital and offline channels. Key Responsibilities: Produce impactful 1-5 minute videos using a mix of new footage and existing content Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to develop scripts, storyboards, and editing briefs Manage video edits and ensure alignment with brand and messaging Provide shooting briefs and occasionally direct or shoot on location Maintain quality and consistency across all video outputs Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget Minimum 5 years\’ professional experience in video production and editing Strong storytelling skills and knowledge of short-form video best practices Proficiency in Final Cut Pro or similar editing software Experience managing creative resources and briefing agencies Excellent communication and project management skills Self-shooting ability is a plus This is an opportunity to work with a leading global organisation at the forefront of scientific innovation.
