We are partnered with a company who are seeking an experienced Product Control to join their London team for a 6-month fixed term contract. The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant and able to step in quickly to provide strong control, oversight, and stakeholder support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end Product Control ownership for assigned trading desks.
  • Daily, monthly, and quarterly P&L production and reporting.
  • P&L substantiation and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Analysis and explanation of P&L movements, valuation adjustments, and reserves.
  • Close collaboration with Front Office, Risk, Finance, and Operations.
  • Ensure adherence to financial controls, governance, and regulatory standards.
  • Support audits, reviews, and ad-hoc senior management requests.

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, ICAEW, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in Product Control within investment banking or financial services.
  • Asset class experience in Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, and/or Exotics.
  • Strong understanding of P&L, valuations, and financial controls.
  • Comfortable operating at VP / Associate Director level.
