The Role

We've partnered with an AI startup to find a Head of Expert Sourcing to join their London team and help them build and scale the function responsible for finding, attracting and retaining specialist experts for their projects. This is a high-volume, data-led sourcing role, combining multi-channel acquisition, AI and automation. You'll lead a small existing team and develop a scalable sourcing function capable of delivering hundreds of experts across rapidly changing specialist areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and scale an expert sourcing function capable of supporting multiple fast-moving projects and changing areas of expertise.
  • Develop multi-channel acquisition strategies across direct outreach, LinkedIn, advertising, job platforms, partnerships and automated sequencing.
  • Build scalable sourcing workflows using AI, automation and technology to increase volume and efficiency.
  • Rapidly create new expert pipelines for specialist or loosely defined profiles across different industries and professional disciplines.
  • Own sourcing performance across channel attribution, conversion, pipeline efficiency and cost per expert.
  • Develop the expert CRM and wider network, including reactivation and repeat-engagement strategies.
  • Lead and develop the sourcing team while remaining hands-on and close to the pipeline.
  • Own the expert value proposition and initial experience, ensuring specialists remain engaged for future projects.

Requirements:

  • Experience building, leading or significantly scaling a high-volume sourcing, expert acquisition, talent network, marketplace supply or similar function.
  • Strong understanding of multi-channel inbound and outbound acquisition, using data and conversion metrics to improve performance.
  • Hands-on experience using AI, automation or sourcing technology to create more efficient and scalable workflows.
  • Experience leading and developing teams while remaining comfortable operating hands-on in a startup or fast-growth environment.
