URGENT CONTRACT ROLE - INCOME FINANCE OFFICER | WEST LONDON | £20PH

I'm currently working with a well-regarded London local authority who are looking to appoint an Income Finance Officer on an initial contract basis. This role would suit someone with experience in:

  • Rent arrears recovery
  • Income collection / credit control
  • Housing income management
  • Tenancy sustainment
  • Local authority or housing association environments

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing rent and accommodation charge arrears
  • Supporting residents with payment arrangements and benefit claims
  • Reducing arrears whilst maintaining a customer-focused approach
  • Legal escalation, notices and court-related processes
  • Liaising with legal teams, support agencies and housing colleagues
  • Monitoring customer accounts and maintaining accurate records

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Experience within social housing, local authority or housing associations
  • Strong customer communication skills
  • Experience handling sensitive or vulnerable cases
  • Ability to balance collections with tenancy support
  • Knowledge of arrears recovery and income management processes
