An established and well-regarded organisation operating in a regulated, international environment is seeking a Management Accountant to join its finance team in London. This role offers broad exposure across management accounting, reporting, and stakeholder engagement, making it well suited to a newly qualified or part-qualified accountant looking to build strong commercial and technical experience.
You will work closely with the Financial Controller and wider finance team, contributing to month-end processes, financial reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of monthly management accounts across multiple business areas and legal entities.
- Prepare and post month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments, and intercompany charges.
- Analyse revenue and cost variances, providing clear insight and commentary.
- Perform intercompany reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with VAT returns, regulatory submissions, and year-end financial statements.
- Support external audit processes and preparation of audit schedules.
- Contribute to improvements in financial controls, processes, and reporting.
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis to support business and finance stakeholders.
About You
- Newly qualified or senior part-qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent).
- Strong grounding in core accounting and month-end processes.
- Confident working with financial data, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Highly numerate, organised, and able to meet deadlines.
- Clear communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Strong Excel skills; experience with financial systems (e.g. Workday or similar) is advantageous.
- Experience in a regulated or financial services environment is a must.
- Exposure to data or automation tools (e.g. SQL, Python, VBA) is a plus, but not essential.
