A privately owned, international services group based in Spain is seeking a commercially astute and transformation-focused Chief Financial Officer to partner with the CEO during a pivotal stage of growth and digital evolution. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will shape both the strategic and operational direction of the business, leading financial transformation while ensuring operational excellence across multiple projects and jurisdictions. This is a high-impact leadership role within an exciting, fast-growing organisation operating across Europe.
The business is entering a significant digital transformation phase, including ERP implementation and structural evolution of the finance function. The CFO will play a central role in modernising systems, strengthening controls, optimising cash flow, and building scalable financial infrastructure to support continued expansion. You will lead an established finance function (10+ total reports) while operating as a strategic advisor to the CEO and Board.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute the company's financial strategy aligned to growth objectives.
- Lead ERP implementation and broader digital transformation initiatives.
- Oversee financial planning, reporting, forecasting and cash flow management.
- Drive project profitability analysis across multiple revenue streams.
- Oversee accounting, audit, tax and regulatory compliance in Spain.
- Evaluate capital structure, support fundraising initiatives and manage investor relationships.
- Strengthen financial systems, controls and reporting frameworks.
- Provide commercial insight and board-level financial reporting.
- Lead, mentor and scale the finance team.
We are seeking a hands-on, transformation-oriented CFO who combines strategic thinking with operational execution.
Essential:- Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field (Master's preferred).
- 5+ years in senior finance leadership roles.
- Strong experience leading ERP implementation and digital finance transformation.
- Deep knowledge of Spanish accounting, tax and regulatory frameworks.
- Fluency in English and Spanish.
- Experience operating in fast-paced, project-driven environments.
- Strong stakeholder management capability at CEO and Board level.
- Fundraising and capital structure experience.
- M&A exposure.
- Experience scaling systems and teams in high-growth environments.
