An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced GIS Consultant to join a high-profile programme delivering advanced geospatial capabilities within a secure operational environment. Working as part of a collaborative delivery team, you will help design, configure, and optimise enterprise-scale GIS solutions that support mission-critical operations. This role offers the chance to work with cutting-edge geospatial technologies, partnering with technical specialists, stakeholders, and end users to deliver innovative location intelligence and mapping solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyse, and prioritise customer and stakeholder requirements.
  • Design, configure, and support enterprise GIS solutions.
  • Develop and enhance applications using the ArcGIS platform, including Dashboards and Experience Builder.
  • Work with complex spatial datasets, data models, and geospatial workflows.
  • Develop and maintain automation and scripting solutions using Python and Arcade.
  • Support system integration, interoperability, and data exchange activities.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise GIS environments to ensure performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver business outcomes.
  • Maintain project documentation, task updates, risks, and dependencies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through geospatial technology.

Required Experience

  • Strong commercial experience with ArcGIS / Esri technologies.
  • Experience working with ArcGIS Enterprise environments.
  • Hands-on experience with: ArcGIS Dashboards, Experience Builder, ArcGIS Pro, GeoEvent Server, ArcGIS Knowledge, ArcGIS Monitor.
  • Strong Python scripting capabilities.
  • Experience developing solutions using Arcade.
  • Good understanding of spatial data management and geospatial best practices.
  • Experience with data modelling and database management.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work independently within a fast-paced delivery environment.

  • ArcGIS Video Server
  • ArcGIS AllSource
  • FME / Data Interoperability tools
  • Experience working within highly regulated or secure environments.
