A leading global investment management firm is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join its European management company finance team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in management company or corporate accounting who enjoys operating in a fast-paced, high-performance environment. You’ll play a key role in month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, and regulatory processes for European entities, including a regulated France entity.
Key Responsibilities
- Own month-end close activities for European management entities, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support preparation of statutory financial statements and manage local audits through to completion.
- Assist with VAT filings and other indirect tax matters.
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis, including variance reporting to senior stakeholders.
- Prepare internal management reporting, regulatory filings, and capital/liquidity stress testing.
- Partner closely with operations, legal, tax teams, and external administrators.
- Support broader EMEA finance projects and continuous process improvement initiatives.
Profile
- 5–6+ years’ experience in finance or accounting, ideally within financial services or asset management.
- Big Four background strongly preferred, particularly with exposure to hedge fund or asset management clients.
- Post-qualified accountant (or equivalent industry experience).
- Solid knowledge of UK GAAP and US GAAP; regulatory reporting experience is a plus.
- Highly analytical with strong attention to detail and sound judgment.
- Proactive, collaborative, and improvement-focused mindset.
