We are working with a growing hedge fund based in London who are seeking an experienced Head of Fund Control to lead its fund control function. The fund trades a broad cross-product strategy, and the successful candidate will bring deep technical expertise in instrument-level pricing, NAV production, and complex reconciliations, alongside the leadership capability to evolve into a firm-wide finance executive role.

The Role

  • You will take ownership of the end-to-end fund control process, ensuring accuracy, robustness, and transparency across all valuation and reporting activities.
  • Full oversight of instrument-level pricing across a cross-product portfolio (listed and OTC).
  • Ownership and review of NAV production.
  • Management of daily, monthly and quarterly reconciliations (P&L, positions, cash, counterparties).
  • Oversight of fund administrators and external service providers.
  • Valuation governance and challenge process.
  • Enhancement of controls, policies, and operational infrastructure.
  • Direct engagement with Portfolio Managers, Risk, Operations and external auditors.
  • Leading and developing the fund control team.

Candidate Profile

We are seeking a senior fund control professional with:

  • Significant hedge fund experience, ideally in a multi-asset or cross-product environment.
  • Deep expertise in complex instrument valuation (derivatives, structured products, financing instruments).
  • Strong understanding of NAV oversight and fund accounting frameworks.
  • Experience managing administrators and external counterparties.
  • Proven leadership capability and the gravitas to operate at executive level.
  • A qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or equivalent (preferred).
