A high-growth, international FinTech is looking for an exceptional Head of Commercial Finance to lead its high-performing, growing commercial finance team in London.
This is a high-impact role with responsibility for driving the commercial finance agenda across the organisation, partnering with senior leaders to improve performance, allocate resources effectively and support sustainable growth.
You will lead a high-performing business partnering team while remaining close to the most strategically important decisions across Opex, workforce planning, organisational design and investment.
As Head of Commercial Finance, you will:
- Lead the commercial finance and business partnering agenda across a broad portfolio of functions, providing strategic insight, financial challenge and clear decision support.
- Partner with senior executives to shape business plans, investment decisions and long-term strategy, translating complex financial and operational data into compelling recommendations.
- Own Opex planning, forecasting and performance management, ensuring costs are well understood, actively managed and aligned to strategic priorities.
- Lead the organisation's approach to workforce and headcount planning, including the financial implications of organisational design and international growth.
- Develop robust financial models, KPIs and scenario analysis to support resource allocation and strategic decision-making.
- Lead and develop a team of senior finance professionals, setting a high bar for commercial finance partnering.
- Drive improvements in finance processes, systems, automation and data, including the use of technology and AI to enhance planning and insight.
About you:
- You are a senior commercial finance or FP&A leader with significant experience operating as a strategic partner to C-suite and executive stakeholders.
- You combine strong financial and analytical capability with genuine commercial curiosity and the confidence to challenge senior decision-makers.
- You will bring experience of managing significant Opex budgets, complex workforce planning and financial modelling, ideally within a high-growth, international technology, FinTech or financial services environment.
- You are comfortable operating in ambiguity, leading through change and moving between strategic thinking and detailed analysis when required.
- A professional finance qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA is preferred.
