Group Financial Director for HNWI’s Family Office and portfolio of businesses. A British, Creative HNWI with a portfolio of business interests across industries focused on entertainment, F & B and unique lifestyle products is seeking an experienced Group Financial Director to oversee financial operations. The role will primarily be remote, with travel on an as-required basis to the company sites in Central London and the South. There should be office space available in Central London later in 2025. The role will report to the HNWI’s Chief of Staff and have full accountabilities for all financial operations and processes within the private office and group of companies.
Role & Responsibilities
- Act as a core member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), jointly shaping group strategy with the HNWI’s Chief of Staff and Strategic Advisor and supporting the HNWI Owner. This includes providing strategic financial leadership across the group, and working closely with General Managers and senior staff to execute on agreed business plans.
- Lead, structure, and continuously improve the group finance function. Conduct a state-of-play review, refine processes for efficiency and value creation, and recruit and mentor talent to build a high-performing team.
- Lead all financial planning and performance reporting, including budgeting, forecasting, scenario modelling, and production of monthly management accounts and MI packs.
- Oversee all aspects of tax compliance and reporting under UK GAAP, including VAT, PAYE, corporate tax and international filings, working with the internal accounting team and external advisors.
- Manage external advisory relationships across accounting, audit, tax, legal, intellectual property, and strategic consultants.
- Maintain the group company structure to maximise efficiencies and synergy across the group, including tax, compliance and legal structuring.
- Serve as statutory director across all group companies. Prepare and chair board meetings, produce board packs, record minutes, managing resolutions and follow-up actions across all legal entities.
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant with post qualification experience as a Finance Director/CFO, leading and managing growing & evolving teams, ideally across diversified industry group or multi-entity structures.
- Proven technical expertise in statutory reporting under UK GAAP, group consolidations, tax compliance and financial modelling.
- Ideally experience in manufacturing, multi-site restaurant/pub, and entertainment industries.
- Ideally experience in managing finance for a high-net-worth individual or family office environment.
