An analyst is sought to lead supply and demand analysis and reporting for coffee. The postholder will consolidate data from external market sources and internal trading and procurement operations, and will work with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders for whom market intelligence is central to their activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and maintain a detailed database of coffee market statistics, including production, trade flows, stocks, local prices and consumption trends.
- Produce regular written outputs for internal and external audiences β weekly summaries, meeting notes, and monthly updates.
- Chair recurring internal market meetings, set the agenda, and circulate minutes.
- Prepare client-facing presentations to support commercial and trading teams across the business.
- Work closely with agronomists and in-country specialists to feed ground-level insight into centralised research.
- Keep traders informed of key market developments and monitor adjacent commodities for techniques applicable to coffee analysis.
Skills & Experience
- Around 2β7 years of experience in a commodity or related analytical environment, with direct knowledge of coffee or other soft commodities.
- A degree in agriculture, economics, or a similar discipline.
- A sound grasp of physical and futures markets.
- The ability to form and clearly articulate an independent market view.
- Strong communication, organisational, and Excel skills.
- A client-focused approach to research and reporting.
