We are currently instructed by a highly regarded London-based boutique law firm seeking to hire a talented mid-level to senior associate (4+ PQE) to join its growing disputes practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious disputes lawyer looking to work on complex, high-value matters within a specialist team that combines top-tier quality work with a more entrepreneurial and collegiate environment than many larger firms.

The successful candidate will work across a broad range of domestic and international disputes, with particular exposure to:

  • Commercial litigation and cross-border arbitration
  • Complex contractual and shareholder disputes
  • Fraud and asset recovery matters
  • Insolvency and restructuring-related litigation
  • Aviation disputes, including aircraft leasing, sanctions, repossession and supply chain disputes
  • Competition and public procurement disputes
  • Regulatory and investigations work

The practice acts for an impressive client base spanning sectors including financial services, aviation, energy, infrastructure, construction, technology and healthcare. Matters are often international in nature and regularly involve proceedings before the High Court, specialist tribunals and leading arbitral institutions including the LCIA and ICC.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 4+ years' PQE gained at a recognised disputes practice
  • Strong experience in commercial litigation and/or international arbitration
  • Some exposure to one or more of the following - insolvency, aviation, regulatory, competition or public procurement disputes would be advantageous
  • Excellent technical and drafting skills
  • Experience managing matters with an appropriate level of autonomy
  • Strong academic credentials and commercial awareness
  • A desire to work closely with partners and clients on sophisticated, high-value disputes
