A leading offshore law firm in the Cayman Islands is seeking an experienced Corporate Funds Lawyer (5+ PQE) to join its highly regarded investment funds and corporate practice. This is an exceptional opportunity for a lawyer from a top-tier offshore, UK, Irish, Australian, New Zealand, Canadian or major international law firm looking to accelerate their career in one of the world's premier financial centres.

The successful candidate will advise a sophisticated international client base including investment managers, private equity sponsors, hedge funds, institutional investors and financial institutions.

The Role

  • Work on a broad range of high-value and cross-border matters, including:
    • Formation, structuring and ongoing operation of Cayman investment funds
    • Hedge funds, private equity funds, venture capital funds and other alternative investment structures
    • Fund launches, restructurings and terminations
    • Corporate transactions involving fund vehicles and financial services businesses
    • Regulatory and governance matters affecting Cayman entities
    • Advising international asset managers, sponsors and institutional investors on Cayman law aspects of transactions
    • Working closely with leading legal advisers and financial institutions across key global markets

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience
  • Strong experience in investment funds, corporate or financial services matters
  • Trained and currently practising with a leading offshore, Magic Circle, Silver Circle, top US or other highly regarded international law firm
  • Excellent technical drafting and transactional skills
  • Strong academic background
  • Commercially minded with excellent client relationship skills
  • Ability to work effectively within an international and collaborative team environment
