We are exclusively partnering with a highly respected international law firm to identify a high-calibre Pensions Associate to join its renowned Employment, Pensions & Incentives (EPI) team in London. The Role:

The pensions team advises employers, trustees, insurers, financial institutions, and government bodies on the full spectrum of legal issues relating to occupational and personal pension arrangements. The team also plays a pivotal role in supporting corporate, transactional, insolvency, and disputes matters across the firm.

You will be involved in:

  • Advising on the day-to-day legal issues that arise in running defined benefit and defined contribution schemes
  • Supporting clients on complex scheme funding and restructuring exercises
  • Advising on de-risking solutions, including buy-ins and buy-outs
  • Working on scheme mergers, wind-ups, and regulatory issues
  • Providing pensions support on corporate transactions, insolvencies and contentious pensions matters
  • Contributing to public/private pensions work and public sector schemes where relevant

You will be working as part of a top-tier, collaborative team committed to delivering technical excellence and commercially tailored advice to some of the most prestigious clients in the market.

Candidate Profile:

We are seeking a technically strong, commercially minded lawyer who enjoys the variety and complexity of pensions work. You may currently be in a City or well-regarded regional firm and ready to take the next step up in profile and challenge.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • 2–5 years’ PQE (flexible for the right profile)
  • Strong experience in pensions law from a recognised practice
  • Exposure to advisory and transactional support work
  • Excellent academic background (minimum 2:1)
