Pensions Solicitor (NQ – 2 PQE) London | Specialist Pensions Practice The Opportunity An exceptional opportunity has arisen to join one of the UK's leading specialist pensions law practices.

This boutique firm is recognised for advising many of the country's largest pension schemes, trustees, employers, master trusts and industry providers on complex, high-value pensions matters.

The successful candidate will join a highly regarded team undertaking a genuine mix of contentious and non-contentious pensions work, providing exposure to a breadth of matters rarely available at this level.

You will work closely with market-leading partners recognised for their technical excellence, commercial approach and collaborative mentoring style.

This is an ideal role for an NQ to 2 PQE solicitor looking to build a long-term career in pensions law within a specialist environment offering early responsibility, outstanding training and direct client exposure.

The Role You will advise a broad range of trustee and employer clients across all aspects of occupational pensions law, including: Day-to-day advisory work for defined benefit (DB) and defined contribution (DC) pension schemes.

Scheme governance, trustee duties and regulatory compliance.

Scheme amendments, benefit changes and member queries.

Buy-ins, buyouts and wider de-risking projects.

Corporate transactions involving pension considerations.

Scheme restructurings, mergers, closures and wind-ups.

Investment and funding-related issues.

Regulatory matters involving The Pensions Regulator and the Pension Protection Fund.

Pensions Ombudsman complaints and dispute resolution.

Court applications, breach of trust issues and other contentious pensions matters.

Professional negligence and governance-related disputes where pensions issues arise.

The role offers an excellent balance of advisory and disputes work, allowing lawyers to develop a genuinely rounded pensions practice.

Candidate Profile Applications are welcomed from solicitors who are: Newly qualified up to 2 years' PQE.

Trained or practising within pensions law, or candidates with relevant experience gained through seats in pensions, employment, litigation or corporate work with demonstrable enthusiasm for specialising.

Technically strong with excellent drafting skills.

Commercially minded and pragmatic in their approach.

Confident managing client relationships and working directly with trustees, employers and professional advisers.

Keen to take ownership of work and develop within a collaborative specialist team.
