A leading global law firm is seeking an Infrastructure, Energy, Resources & Projects Associate to join its highly regarded international practice in London.

The firm has one of the largest and most diverse global practices in this area, advising governments, sponsors, investors, lenders and major corporates on complex infrastructure, energy, natural resources and projects matters across international markets.

The practice has advised on more than US$200 billion of infrastructure and project finance transactions in recent years.

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for a 2–4 PQE lawyer (or equivalent experience) to join a market-leading team and work on a broad range of sophisticated transactional and projects-related matters.

The successful candidate will work primarily across the infrastructure and energy transition sectors, with exposure to matters including:

  • M&A and corporate transactions
  • Structured transactions
  • Equity financings
  • Project development
  • Infrastructure and energy transition projects
  • Other complex transactional and project-related work

You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced lawyers across multiple jurisdictions and develop relationships with sophisticated international clients.

Candidate Profile

We are seeking a lawyer with

  • 2–4 PQE (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong infrastructure, energy, resources and/or projects experience
  • Training and experience at a leading City or US law firm
  • A strong academic background, ideally including a minimum 2:1 degree
  • Excellent technical, drafting and written communication skills
  • Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of clients' business objectives
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills
  • The ability to manage matters effectively and work to demanding deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and client-facing skills
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively within an international team
  • An interest in developing and using legal technology where appropriate

The ideal candidate will combine strong technical capability with commercial judgement and the ability to build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues.
