A highly regarded London City law firm is seeking an Employment Associate to join its growing and well-established Employment team. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside recognised partners on a broad mix of contentious, non-contentious and advisory employment matters for an impressive client base spanning retail, leisure, financial services, professional services, media, technology, arts and culture, including international businesses.
The Opportunity
- Advise on a wide range of employment law issues, including:
- Complex disciplinary, grievance, capability and absence management matters
- Discrimination, harassment, whistleblowing and Employment Tribunal litigation
- Senior executive appointments, exits and restrictive covenants
- Workforce restructurings, redundancies and organisational change projects
- Employment aspects of M&A and corporate transactions, including due diligence and transactional support
- Cross-border employment projects and international workforce matters
- High Court employment disputes, injunctions and enforcement actions
- Financial services regulatory employment issues, including remuneration, SMCR and conduct matters
- Partnership and LLP disputes and governance issues
The role offers significant client exposure and the opportunity to develop strong relationships with both entrepreneurial businesses and established corporate clients.
About You
- UK qualified solicitor 2-5 PQE with strong employment law experience
- Experience across both contentious and non-contentious employment matters
- Ability to manage matters and client relationships with increasing autonomy
- Strong technical skills combined with commercial awareness
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Interest in business development and contributing to practice growth
