An elite US law firm with a leading global restructuring practice is seeking a mid-level Restructuring & Insolvency Associate (3–5 PQE) to join its high-performing London team. The practice advises on complex, high-value and often cross-border restructurings, special situations and insolvency matters, acting for a diverse client base including financial institutions, funds, corporates and other key stakeholders.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and ambitious team that has recently made a number of strategic senior and junior hires, creating a strong platform for a mid-level associate to step into early responsibility and meaningful client exposure.

The Role

  • Work across a broad spectrum of restructuring and special situations matters, including:
    • Complex financial restructurings and insolvencies
    • Cross-border restructuring mandates
    • Special situations and distressed scenarios
    • Advisory work involving key creditor and debtor stakeholders

Candidate Profile

  • England & Wales qualification with 3–5 years’ PQE from a leading law firm
  • Strong experience across restructuring, insolvency and special situations
  • A solid working knowledge of key financing instruments, including:
    • Bank/bilateral and syndicated loans
    • High yield debt
    • Intercreditor arrangements
  • Exposure to multi-jurisdictional matters and restructuring-related proceedings
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, with experience handling responsibility on transactions
  • A commercially minded, driven and collaborative approach
