An exciting opportunity has arisen with a Top 100 UK law firm to join its growing Construction & Engineering team as an Associate or Senior Associate (2–6 PQE). This role sits within a highly regarded practice with a strong national footprint and an excellent reputation for delivering complex, high-value work across the built environment sector.
The team has recently been strengthened by the strategic hire of a Partner from one of the most highly respected firms in the Construction market, further enhancing its profile and reinforcing its ambitious growth trajectory.
You will join a collaborative and forward-thinking team advising on a broad range of non-contentious construction matters, acting for developers, funders, contractors, and suppliers across a diverse portfolio of development, infrastructure, and energy projects throughout the UK.

Key responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload of non-contentious construction matters, supporting project development and delivery
- Advise on and negotiate standard form construction contracts (including JCT and NEC)
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing clear, commercial advice on risk, timing, and outcomes
- Contribute to business development initiatives, including networking, marketing content, and sector engagement
- Support and mentor junior lawyers within the team
- Collaborate closely with colleagues across real estate, corporate, and wider practice areas
- Assist with financial management of matters and ensure efficient delivery of legal services
Candidate profile
- Qualified Solicitor with 2–6 years’ PQE in non-contentious construction law
- Strong working knowledge of JCT, NEC, construction security, and due diligence processes
- Confident managing transactions with appropriate supervision
- Commercially minded with excellent client-facing skills
- Team player with a genuine interest in the construction and engineering sector
