An Elite US law firm is seeking an ambitious Investment Funds Associate to join its highly regarded Private Capital and Investment Funds practice in London.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Funds lawyer looking to work alongside a market-leading partner on sophisticated, high-value transactions for leading asset managers, fund sponsors and institutional investors.
The Role
The successful candidate will work closely with senior members of the firm's global Investment Funds & Private Capital practice, gaining exposure to a broad range of complex private capital matters across the US, UK and international markets.
The practice has particular strength in:
- Private equity and private investment funds
- Private debt, private credit and direct lending
- Real estate, infrastructure and venture funds
- Fund formations and launches
- Fund restructurings and secondary transactions
- Co-investments and carried interest arrangements
- Structured credit and CLOs
- Investment management and regulatory matters
The team operates as part of a genuinely international platform, working closely with colleagues across the US, Europe and Asia.

Recent matters have included complex private debt continuation vehicles and large-scale senior credit secondary programmes, reflecting the calibre and sophistication of the work handled by the team.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be:
- A qualified solicitor with strong Investment Funds / Private Capital experience from a US law firm
- Ideally 2–6 years' PQE, although exceptional candidates outside this range will be considered
- Experienced in fund formation, private capital transactions and/or related investment management matters
- Interested in developing a broader practice across private equity, private credit and alternative investments
- Commercially minded, technically strong and comfortable working on sophisticated international transactions
- Ambitious and keen to develop their career within a leading US platform
Experience in private credit, direct lending, secondaries, fund restructurings, structured credit or CLOs would be particularly attractive, although candidates with a strong broader Funds background are encouraged to apply.
