The firm is seeking an experienced and ambitious Employment Senior Associate to join its growing London team. The role will involve a broad caseload across contentious, advisory, and transactional employment law matters, often with an international element. This is a strategic hire for the practice and offers the opportunity to contribute to the continued growth of the group, with strong partner support and client-facing responsibility from the outset.
Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload across contentious, advisory, and transactional matters (currently split evenly across all three).
- Advise clients, primarily employers (with some senior executives), on tribunal claims, High Court litigation, and cross-border matters.
- Support transactional teams on the employment aspects of corporate deals.
- Work alongside colleagues in other practice areas on regulatory/employment crossover issues.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, providing commercially focused, pragmatic advice.
- Contribute to business development, thought leadership, and the growth of the practice.
- Supervise junior lawyers and support their professional development.
Candidate Profile
Essential:
- Minimum 2019 qualification as a solicitor in England & Wales (or equivalent with London market experience).
- Extensive experience handling a broad range of employment law matters with minimal supervision.
- Strong drafting, analytical, and advocacy skills.
- Excellent client management skills with a commercial outlook.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively on complex, fast-paced matters.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
Desirable:
- Experience of High Court litigation.
- Previous exposure to cross-border employment work.
- Demonstrable track record in business development and networking.
