A leading international law firm is seeking a mid-level Corporate M&A Associate to join its London office. This is an outstanding opportunity for a UK-qualified solicitor with 2-3 PQE to work on sophisticated domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, particularly in the technology and life sciences sectors. The Role:

The successful candidate will play a key role in the Corporate M&A team, working on a variety of transactions, including sell-side and buy-side M&A, private equity deals, venture-backed company investments, and, where relevant, public takeovers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing and executing key transactional workstreams, including ancillary documentation, due diligence, disclosure, and contract negotiation.
  • Leading appropriate transactions and taking ownership of principal documentation.
  • Supporting partners and senior associates in complex cross-border deals.
  • Contributing to business development initiatives and helping to identify new client opportunities.
  • Collaborating with a high-performing, international team across multiple practice areas to deliver innovative solutions.

Candidate Profile:

  • UK-qualified solicitor with 2-3 years PQE.
  • Solid experience on English law cross-border M&A and/or private equity transactions.
  • Exposure to technology and/or life sciences sector deals is advantageous.
  • Demonstrates strong technical legal ability, sound judgment, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, practical advice.
