The Practice
The firm’s Debt Finance practice is a core part of its global offering and is consistently ranked among the top advisors for cross-border leveraged finance and syndicated lending transactions. The team represents major investment banks, credit funds, private equity sponsors, and multinational corporates across the full spectrum of financing products, including:
- Leveraged and acquisition finance
- Syndicated loans
- Refinancings and restructurings
- Fund finance and margin lending
- Sponsor and borrower-side advisory
The successful candidate will work directly with recognised partners and senior lawyers who are known for both their technical strength and commercial focus. You will be part of a collaborative, high-performing team with significant international exposure.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting and negotiating loan agreements and related finance documentation
- Advising on complex cross-border leveraged finance transactions
- Managing transactions and liaising with clients, counterparties and colleagues globally
- Supervising and supporting junior team members
- Contributing to business development and maintaining strong client relationships
Candidate Profile
- Qualified solicitor in England & Wales (or equivalent common law jurisdiction)
- 2–5 years’ post-qualification experience at a leading international or City law firm
- Demonstrable experience in banking and finance, particularly leveraged finance or sponsor-side lending
- Strong academic background and attention to detail
- Proactive, commercially minded, and team-oriented
