Associate / Senior Associate – Private Wealth (Trusts)
Location: Relocation to the Cayman Islands

Our client is a top-tier offshore law firm with a strong global presence, known for advising high-net-worth individuals, trustees, financial institutions, and family offices on complex private wealth and fiduciary matters. The Role
The firm is seeking an ambitious and technically strong Associate or Senior Associate to join its Private Wealth practice in the Cayman Islands. The successful candidate will focus on trusts and succession planning matters, working closely with leading partners in the field and an established client base that includes ultra-high-net-worth individuals, institutional trustees, and private banks.

Key Responsibilities
- Advising on all aspects of Cayman Islands trust law, including the creation, restructuring, and administration of complex trusts.
- Acting for trustees, settlors, beneficiaries, and family offices on contentious and non-contentious matters.
- Providing legal advice on estate planning, private client structuring, and asset protection.
- Working alongside colleagues across jurisdictions to deliver integrated, cross-border advice.
- Supporting business development initiatives and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Mentoring and supervising junior lawyers as appropriate (for Senior Associate level).
Requirements
- Qualified solicitor or barrister (England & Wales, Cayman Islands, or other common law jurisdiction).
- 2–7 years’ PQE (Associates typically 2–4 PQE; Senior Associates 5–7 PQE).
- Demonstrable experience in private client, trusts, or private wealth work, ideally gained at a leading onshore or offshore law firm.
- Strong technical knowledge of trust law, succession planning, and related tax considerations.
- Excellent drafting, communication, and client relationship skills.
- Prior offshore or international experience is desirable but not essential.
- A proactive, collaborative, and commercially minded approach.
