We are seeking a talented and experienced Manager / Senior Manager to join our Innovation Incentives team specialising in R&D Tax Credits in London, UK. As a Manager / Senior Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of R&D tax consultants / analysts and assisting our clients in identifying and maximising their R&D tax credits. You will work closely with our clients’ finance and engineering teams to identify qualifying R&D activities and expenses, and prepare and file R&D tax credit claims.

Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of R&D tax consultants and oversee a range of R&D tax credit projects
- Work closely with clients’ finance and engineering teams to identify and analyse qualifying R&D activities and expenses
- Prepare R&D tax credit claims and documentation in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
- Review and analyse financial data, including balance sheets, income statements, and tax returns, to identify potential R&D tax credits
- Communicate effectively with clients to gather required information and answer any questions they may have
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Continuously stay up to date with changes in tax law and regulations related to R&D tax credits
- Provide support for other Innovation Incentives related projects as needed from a finance and management point of view
- Depending on interest, participate in the pre-sales activities including client proposals and bids
Required Experience and Skills (5+ years):
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in R&D tax, with a proven track record of successfully identifying and maximising R&D tax credits
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and logically
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team of consultants
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Knowledge of tax law and regulations related to R&D tax credits in the UK is essential
- Willingness to learn other overseas tax credits such as Canadian SR&ED (Scientific Research and Experimental Development) is a plus
