The Opportunity

The Account Executive will play a key role in expanding strategic partnerships with hospitals, clinical laboratories, academic institutions and healthcare organisations across the UK. You will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing complex sales cycles and working closely with scientific and technical stakeholders to support the adoption of cutting-edge genomics solutions. The role offers strong visibility, autonomy and the opportunity to contribute directly to the growth of a company operating at the forefront of precision medicine and clinical genomics. The company is also open to considering the role on a consultancy or fractional basis for highly experienced individuals with strong industry networks and relevant sector expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute commercial strategies across the UK territory
  • Identify, engage and build relationships with key stakeholders across clinical genomics and diagnostics
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through to contract negotiation and closing
  • Collaborate closely with scientific, applications and customer success teams
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, scientific meetings and networking events
  • Maintain strong knowledge of genomics, sequencing technologies and precision medicine trends
  • Build long-term strategic customer relationships within hospitals, laboratories and healthcare systems
  • Support market expansion initiatives and contribute to overall commercial growth
Candidate Profile
  • Proven experience in business development, account management or commercial sales within genomics, molecular diagnostics, life sciences or biotechnology
  • Strong understanding of clinical genomics, NGS workflows or precision medicine environments
  • Experience managing complex consultative sales processes
  • Ability to engage scientific, clinical and commercial stakeholders
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced and high-growth environment
  • Willingness to travel across the UK as required
