Field Service Engineer – Scientific Instrumentation Are you an experienced Field Service Engineer with a passion for scientific and analytical instrumentation ? As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and technical support of advanced laboratory instruments, initially focusing on laser diffraction and dispersion technology , with the opportunity to expand into X-ray instrumentation after training. Service & Maintenance – Install, repair, and maintain analytical instruments for customers in raw materials and manufacturing industries . Customer Support – Provide hands-on technical assistance and training. Travel & Autonomy – Cover a regional area with 4–5 days of travel per week , typically staying away 2–3 nights per week Self-Management – Own your schedule, travel, and customer appointments . Team Collaboration – Work closely with a highly experienced team , backed by strong technical and administrative support. HNC / HND or Degree in Engineering, Physics, or Chemistry with Electronics knowledge (a must for X-ray systems). ✔️ Field Service experience with scientific, analytical, or industrial instrumentation (biomedical alone may not be suitable). ✔️ Ability to work independently , self-organize, and handle frequent travel . ✔️ Willingness to travel extensively across the UK & Ireland.
