We are Intuita - a fast growing consultancy part of FSP Group, that is making waves in both the consultancy and technology space. With our ambitious goals we are looking for talented individuals to complement the team of experts we already have working across our business, becoming a pivotal part of our journey, to not just meet, but continuously exceed our client expectations!

We can offer an interesting insight into projects spanning a variety of sectors, which may include industries such as telecoms, insurance, finance and mortgages.

Crucially we will prioritize and are ideally seeking those from the following industries: Telco, Financial Services (ideally insurance, banking and pensions) and Healthcare and/or Life Sciences.

We are looking for an experienced, driven, and hands-on data engineer with strong data modelling experience, to join our growing consultancy and lead the delivery of a key migration project. You will play a key role in the migration and redevelopment of an existing Data Warehouse into a modern AWS-based environment. This position focuses on analysing current ETL processes, understanding existing data structures, and re-engineering them in line with dimensional and analytical modelling best practices. There will be a strong emphasis on data modelling, transformation logic, and data quality.

Key outputs for the role:

  • Analyse existing data warehouse structures, ETL logic, and reporting datasets to understand current data flows and business rules.
  • Design and document dimensional, analytical, and reporting data models aligned to business requirements and best-practice modelling standards.
  • Design clear mapping specifications from source systems to target dimensional models.
  • Perform testing, reconciliation, and validation of new models and pipelines to ensure data correctness and completeness.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers, BI Developers, and business stakeholders to ensure models support analytical, reporting, and operational needs.
  • Support the wider project team with documentation, data lineage, definitions, and modelling artefacts.
  • Contribute to improving modelling standards, governance, and data quality across the project.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Strong understanding of data modelling principles (e.g., Kimball, dimensional modelling, analytical modelling).
  • Proven experience delivering or contributing to a data warehouse build or migration project.
  • Hands-on experience designing analytical and reporting data models.
  • ETL/ELT development experience, including analysis of existing transformation logic.
  • Strong SQL skills, comfortable writing complex queries for transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Experience validating data pipelines and performing reconciliation testing between legacy and new environments.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into robust data model designs.
  • Experience working in Agile methodologies (Scrum / Kanban).
  • Experience with dbt for transformation modelling.
  • Experience working within the Telecoms sector.
  • Experience with AWS data platform services.
  • Familiarity with BI/reporting tools and how data models support downstream consumption.
  • Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and data lineage practices.
  • Proactive, dynamic, and driven by delivering quality work, with a great eye for detail.
  • Takes accountability and ownership of tasks, and finds the best way to solve problems.
  • An excellent communicator who can make sense of and communicate complex ideas.
  • Ability to quickly understand client context and demonstrate expertise in their business.
  • A relationship builder, with the ability to motivate and engage effectively to build trust with clients and colleagues.
  • An interest in industry trends, emerging technologies, and client's businesses.

Salary: £45,000 - £68,000 per annum DOE OR contractor day rates, Outside IR35 can be discussed in person for experienced Engineers with good availability.
