We are recruiting for an experienced Team Leader to support the day-to-day running of a residential children's home. This is a key operational role, working alongside the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager to deliver high-quality, child-centred care and ensure the home operates in line with safeguarding and regulatory standards.

About the Role

The Team Leader will lead shifts, supervise staff practice, and provide direct support to children and young people. You will help ensure a safe, structured, and nurturing environment that promotes positive outcomes and consistent care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead shifts and coordinate staffing to ensure safe and consistent care
  • Provide high-quality, child-centred support to young people
  • Act as a role model for safeguarding and professional practice
  • Support care planning, behaviour management strategies, and risk assessments
  • Ensure accurate recording, reporting, and compliance with regulations
  • Mentor and support Residential Support Workers
  • Work flexibly across a variable rota, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins

Requirements

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (essential)
  • Experience working within a residential children's home
  • Strong safeguarding knowledge
  • Confidence leading shifts and making decisions
  • Full UK driving licence (strongly favourable)
