You will take responsibility for the shift from preparation through to closing, keeping food quality, service and cleanliness consistent. You will also cook, pack orders and serve customers alongside the crew. Reporting to the Store Manager, you will help establish practical routines and train the team to work confidently across different stations.

Key Responsibilities

Lead each shift, allocate cooking, packing and counter duties, organise breaks and adjust cover as queues and delivery orders change. Prepare and fry chicken, assemble burgers and meals, finish wings and prepare shakes using the agreed recipes, portions and presentation standards. Check preparation levels and plan cooking batches against demand to maintain availability and control holding times and waste.

Monitor food safety, allergens and temperature records, including handwashing and safe separation of raw ingredients, cooked food and counter tasks. Check that orders contain the correct food, sides, sauces and drinks, and coordinate the handover of counter, collection and delivery orders. Experience & Skills Previous experience taking responsibility for a busy takeaway, chicken shop or quick-service restaurant shift is essential.

Clear communication, reliable attendance and availability for the proposed evening and weekend shifts. Experience with fried chicken, stock ordering, training new starters and relevant food-safety training would be advantageous.
