We are recruiting an experienced Front of House Team Member on behalf of our restaurant client in Cockfosters. You will welcome guests, help organise bookings and support the team across the restaurant floor. The role suits someone who enjoys working with people and can keep service organised during busy periods. Key responsibilities
Welcome guests, check reservations and coordinate seating with the waiting team and manager.
Handle booking enquiries accurately, record special requests and keep the team informed of arrivals and table availability.
Support service by delivering food and drinks, clearing tables and responding to guest requests.
Prepare tables, replenish service supplies and keep the entrance and dining areas clean and presentable.
Develop a good knowledge of the menu and follow the agreed process for checking allergen information before advising guests.
Assist with payments, complete opening and closing tasks, and raise guest concerns promptly with the manager. What we are looking for
At least 2 years' relevant front of house experience in a restaurant or similar hospitality setting. A welcoming, professional manner and confidence when speaking with guests. Good organisation and attention to detail when handling bookings or payments. The ability to stay calm, prioritise tasks and support colleagues during busy service. Clear communication and an understanding of food hygiene and allergen procedures. How to apply
