About the Role
We are recruiting a Headteacher / School Lead to lead a specialist school in Diss, Suffolk, supporting children and young people with Learning Disabilities and associated SEND. You will provide overall leadership, ensuring high standards of education, safeguarding, and school development, while creating a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment.
- Lead the strategic and day-to-day running of the school
- Promote a safe, inclusive and child-centred environment
- Ensure safeguarding is central to all school activity
- Oversee curriculum delivery, assessment, and pupil progress
- Lead staff recruitment, development, and performance
- Ensure compliance with SEND, safeguarding, and education standards
- Work with families, local authorities, and external professionals
- Maintain inspection readiness and drive continuous improvement
