About the Role
We are looking for a capable Crew Member to join The Cluck End in Manor House. You will work across food preparation, frying, meal assembly, packing and counter service, serving our chicken, wings, burgers, tenders and shakes.
This role also includes short periods of supervisory cover once you have been trained, assessed and authorised. You will help maintain service when the supervisor is away from the floor. You will report to the Working Shift Supervisor and give clear handovers after each cover period.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and fry or cook chicken and sides after training, following recipe, cooking and portion guides.
- Assemble burgers and meals, finish wings with the correct sauces, prepare shakes and check presentation before packing.
- Check food, sides, sauces, drinks and order numbers before handing orders to customers or delivery riders.
- Take orders and payments accurately, use delivery-order systems and communicate delays or missing items to the supervisor.
- Replenish stations, label and rotate stock, record waste and report shortages before they affect service.
- Follow handwashing, raw-food separation, temperature and allergen procedures, referring questions to the supervisor whenever unsure.
- Clean and sanitise equipment and work areas, wash utensils and complete allocated preparation or closing tasks within your shift.
- Once authorised, hold keys and coordinate the floor during designated supervisor-cover periods, keeping tasks and orders moving.
- Maintain the required service and safety checks during cover, escalate complaints or faults beyond your authority and contact management when needed.
- Hand over outstanding orders, customer issues, stock concerns and other matters when the supervisor returns.
Experience & Skills
Previous kitchen or takeaway experience is required. We are looking for someone dependable who can learn the judgement and routines needed for short periods of supervisory responsibility.
You should also have:
- Ability to follow recipes, safety instructions and order details accurately.
- Good teamwork and communication with customers, colleagues and the supervisor. xgikmsk
