Duties
- Safely operate a 7.5-tonne flatbed truck to deliver goods to various locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo with care, ensuring items are secured properly for transit.
- Plan delivery routes effectively to optimize time and fuel efficiency.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify any maintenance issues before departure.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch and customers to confirm delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs, delivery receipts, and inspection reports.
- Follow all safety protocols during loading, transit, and unloading processes to ensure a secure working environment.
Requirements
- Valid 7.5-tonne (or equivalent) driving license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a commercial driver or delivery driver, ideally with flatbed truck operation experience.
- Knowledge of driving regulations and safety standards for commercial vehicles.
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting, securing loads, and maneuvering cargo on flatbeds.
- Excellent navigation skills with the ability to plan efficient routes.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with team members and customers.
