You will collaborate with the team to understand Researcher and Client needs and convert them into working features. You will be expected to take ownership of the features you are working on and maintaining, improving them continually.
What we do:
- Aggregate data from 3rd party and internally sourced data into a lake of financial ownership information.
- Provide clear and efficient interfaces to analyse that data, supporting both the company and external clients directly.
- The tech stack consists of our PostgreSQL data store, Python HTTP APIs backing the web UI and programmatic consumption, and incoming pipelines as AWS Stepfunctions / Lambdas, and a React based web UI.
- Work directly with clients to expand product features with a focus on how our data can produce investment alpha.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain performant PostgreSQL queries and datastores for financial data.
- Design, build, and maintain well-tested and production-ready Python HTTP APIs and pipelines.
- Use automated testing to build and own features from conception to deployment.
Requirements:
- SQL / data processing experience.
- Scalable data pipeline development.
- Some experience building effective programmatic interfaces in any language.
Desirables:
- Experience with PostgreSQL query performance optimisation.
- Experience with Python HTTP, API development, automated testing and data pipeline design.
- Experience ensuring data quality, integrity, and performance.
- Hands-on experience with financial data sources (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv).
