Job Purpose — To complete day‑to‑day aspects of the project consultancy process to client deadlines through performing the Company’s technical duties, processes, and standards based on national codes and guidance. Assist project leads and represent the Company on projects with periodic quality review by Senior Engineers, Associates, Associate Principals, and Directors.

Activities

  • Review plans and produce mark‑ups to advise the design team on any non‑compliances and possibilities for improvement of layouts by applying fire engineering.
  • Write detailed fire strategies.
  • Undertake zone modelling and CFD modelling; produce reports and present findings to the client and design team.
  • Communicate thoughts and ideas clearly to staff, professionals, and clients in verbal and written form.
  • Act professionally with all parties to develop the Company’s reputation.
  • Achieve continued professional development in areas relevant to personal objectives and company contributions.
  • Contribute to the development of the Company to enhance its reputation.

  • Production of fire strategy / CFD reports.

  • Study to meet CPD objectives and develop towards Chartered Fire Engineer and Member of the Institution of Fire Engineering.

  • Continuous learning and demonstration of expanding work knowledge.

  • Engineering degree (beneficial if in Fire Engineering or Masters in Mechanical or Aerospace space engineering).
