The Building Services Engineering Design Apprenticeship includes a degree qualification in Building Services Engineering BEng (Hons) and a qualification leading towards Incorporated Engineer status. Competitive remuneration, wellbeing benefits, and an EAP for mental wellbeing support are offered.

Responsibilities:
  • Actively participate in the company mentorship program as a mentee.
  • Support design staff in drafting of HVAC, fire protection, electrical systems, lighting, and plumbing.
  • Size building services systems to meet regulations, standards, and project requirements.
  • Perform mechanical load calculations (heating, cooling, ventilation) and electrical calculations (lighting levels, circuit sizing).
  • Ensure quality assurance and drafting standards are followed.
  • Set up Revit models or AutoCAD drawing files and maintain them.
  • Co‑ordinate mechanical and electrical services in drafting software with assistance from design staff.
  • Conduct detailed checks before returning finished products to the designer.
Qualifications:
  • At least 20% of working hours will be spent training or studying.
  • College: London South Bank University.
  • Course: Building Services Design Engineer (Level 6 – Degree with honours).
  • Training will be conducted on‑site in our Oxford office located in Milton Park, Abingdon.
