Responsibilities & Qualifications
Job Purpose: To complete day‑to‑day aspects of the project consultancy process to client deadlines through performing to the Company’s technical duties, processes and standards based on national codes and guidance. Assist the project leads and represent the Company on projects with periodic quality review by Senior Engineers, Associates, Associate Principals and Directors.
Activities
- Review plans and produce mark‑ups to advise the design team on any non‑compliances as well as possibilities for the improvement of the layouts by applying fire engineering.
- Write detailed fire strategies.
- Undertake zone modelling and CFD modelling.
- Produce the reports and present the findings to the client and design team.
- Communicate thoughts and ideas to other staff, professionals and clients verbally and in writing.
- Act professionally with all parties to develop the company’s reputation.
- Achieve continued professional development in areas relevant to personal objectives and contribute to those of the company.
- Contribute to the development of the company to enhance its reputation.

- Client satisfaction with service delivered.

- Production of fire strategy / CFD reports.
- Expand work‑related knowledge.
- Study to meet CPD objectives and develop towards the ultimate achievement of Chartered Fire Engineer and Member of the Institution of Fire Engineering.

- Engineering degree (does not need to be in Fire Engineering but it would be beneficial or Masters Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace space engineering).
