The predicted salary is between 30000 - 30000 £ per year.

Providing support, guidance and coordination to the engineering function and services at the site.

Assist in the identification, procurement, storage and stock levels of key spare parts.

Support the co-ordination and implementation of any capital projects or site improvements works required, including installation and commissioning of new equipment.

Assist in the selection of suitable contractors and maintain a database for approved personnel.

Ensure that the work package of risk assessments and method statements provided by contracting companies are suitable for requirements.

Oversee management of all contractor engineering activities on plant.

Plan, coordinate and undertake site inductions.

Comply with all legal regulations and site procedures including ISO9001, ISO18001 and ISO45001, HASWA and COSHH regulations.

Assist in investigations of incidents, accidents and near miss reports.

Proactively participate in resolving process, equipment, quality and EHS issues.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Previous experience of a similar role within an engineering environment.
  • Experience of contractor management/control would be highly desirable.
  • PC literate with good understanding of Microsoft Applications such as Word and Excel.
  • Experience and understanding of Maintenance Management Systems would be preferred.
  • Good understanding of Safe Systems of Work, proficient with Permit to Work, risk assessment and method statements.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to cope with workload under pressure.
  • Good awareness of Health and Safety practices.
  • Due to hours and location, applicants are advised to have access to their own transport.
