A leading manufacturer of a range of specialist additives is recruiting for an Accounts Assistant. This organisation is today one of the world leaders within its sector and they are currently looking to strengthen their accounts team.
This varied Accounts Assistant role will involve carrying out a range of duties around the subject of:
- Full responsibility for the control and development of the Credit Control function.
- Month-End Reporting - Journal preparation and entry to strict deadlines.
- Reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts, including bank account and VAT returns and submission.
- Supporting in the provision of information resulting from requests both at group level and from external professional bodies.
Applicants should have accounts administration experience including a solid basic understanding of accounts preparation and reconciliation, preferably gained within a manufacturing business but this is not essential. An AAT qualification is preferred, but again not essential for applicants with relevant experience.
This person should possess a keen eye for detail, well-developed time management skills and organisational and planning skills. Those applying should also be competent with Microsoft Office products.
