THE ROLE

  • Responsible for the management of all materials and equipment - raw materials for production and finished goods for the customer.
  • Management of products and services for site needs.
  • Obtaining competitive quotes, while maintaining safety and service level requirements.
  • Ensuring that Purchase Requisitions for materials and equipment are placed in an accurate and timely manner and followed up to deliver within promised lead time.
  • Liaising with Customer Service in advance of any deviation from promised lead time.
  • Generating Purchase Requisitions on third party suppliers for the product needs of other sites.
  • Raising POs for office consumables, PPE and various services for the site.
  • Working with the shipping department to coordinate the collection of materials from third party suppliers.
  • Managing regulator stocks and assembly for customer orders.
  • Updating actual levels on Stock Database following stock replenishment order fulfilment or stocktake/cycle count completion.
  • Identifying and recording stock discrepancies or shortages and investigating root cause.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Previous experience of controlling material within a manufacturing environment.
  • Customer focused with drive and enthusiasm.
  • Good problem solving/data analysis skills.
  • Excellent PC skills with knowledge of AS400 & SAP preferred.
  • Able to take responsibility for resolving customer issues and proactively proposing solutions.
