MONDAY TO FRIDAY 7AM – 5PM PLUS OCCASIONAL SATURDAY WORKING FULL TIME HOURS (45 PER WEEK) PERMANENT £30K

THE ROLE

  • Scanning all product parked on site onto the digital stock control system.
  • Regular inspections of all parked products stored on site for damage, defects or shortages, with any issues reported promptly.
  • Assisting drivers with loading and unloading activities to ensure satisfactory vehicle turnaround times.
  • Ensuring that all loading and unloading activities conducted on site are carried out in accordance with applicable statutory requirements, safe systems of work and industry best practice.
  • Providing feedback to the Group Compliance & Auditing Manager in relation to observed driver performance whilst on site.
  • Maintaining a suitable and sufficient loose equipment store, containing the various items of equipment required by drivers, ensuring an appropriate balance between stock availability and expenditure.
  • Supporting the control of all vehicle and product movements within the yard to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Carrying out general yard duties including movement, positioning and storage of product and equipment as required.
  • Reporting hazards, near-misses, incidents, damage or non-compliance immediately and supporting corrective actions.

  • Competent written and verbal communicator.
  • Proficient with basic Microsoft Office software.
  • Proven history of exceptional work performance and statutory compliance.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Structured, organised and self-motivated approach to work.
  • A full clean driving licence.
  • A flexible approach as this role will involve working outdoors in all weather conditions and at height.
