A growing civil engineering contractor / sub contractor in the North West is seeking an experienced Site Agent to support the delivery of infrastructure projects across regulated environments. This position suits someone with a solid background in highways and/or water infrastructure, comfortable managing live sites and working within strict safety, quality and permit controls.
The Role
- Overall management of site operations, labour, plant and subcontractors
- Delivery of highways and/or water infrastructure works, including drainage, ducting, chambers, earthworks, kerbing and surfacing
- Working within regulated environments, complying with permits, RAMS and client standards
- Ensuring high standards of health & safety, quality and environmental compliance
- Liaison with clients, local authorities, inspectors and internal project teams
- Short-term planning, programme management and progress reporting
- Maintaining site documentation, permits, inspections and quality records
- Supporting commercial control and managing variations on site
About You
- Proven experience as a Site Agent, or a strong Sub Agent ready to step up
- Demonstrable experience delivering highways schemes and/or water infrastructure projects
- Comfortable working on live sites with traffic management, public interfaces or operational assets
- Strong understanding of permit-controlled works and regulated environments
- SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid (essential)
- Confident leader with good communication and organisational skills
- Proactive, problem-solving mindset
- Full UK driving licence
